How Saudi Arabia fuel pricing works
Saudi retail fuel prices were liberalized in 2018 as part of Vision 2030 reforms. Aramco announces non-capped grades on the 10th of each month, effective the 11th. Gasoline 91 and Gasoline 95 have been government-capped at SAR 2.18 and SAR 2.33 per litre since July 2021; the government absorbs any excess. Diesel is reviewed annually each January.
